ADS7805P Overview

ADS7805P is the 0.3 in DIP-28 orderable of TI's ADS7805, a complete 16-bit sampling SAR analog-to-digital converter with sample-and-hold, reference, clock, microprocessor interface and 3-state parallel outputs on chip. It is specified at a 100 kHz sampling rate with an industry-standard ±10 V input range from a single +5 V supply and under 100 mW dissipation, and it is pin-compatible with the 12-bit ADS7804. TI lists the ADS7805 device as Active, but the current packaging addendum in the datasheet (Rev. D, Oct 2006) only lists the SO-28 ADS7805U orderables; the DIP-28 ADS7805P no longer appears there. That makes ADS7805P a typical independent-sourcing request: we quote it with photos of the actual parts and the date code, and the SO-28 ADS7805U is the current TI orderable if you can change footprint.
